RM158.00

A deep cleansing shampoo for oily scalps, and for roots that feel heavy again a day after washing. Sea salt minerals lift away excess oil and product buildup, so hair feels clean at the root rather than just freshly scented.

Description

Sea Salt Mud Revitalizing Shampoo is a deep cleansing shampoo built for oily scalps and scalps that hold on to product residue. If your roots feel heavy or greasy again within a day of washing, this is the kind of wash it is made for.

Malaysia’s climate works against you here. Humidity, sweat and daily styling product build up faster than they would in a cooler country, and a mild everyday shampoo often is not strong enough to clear it. What is left behind sits on the scalp, mixes with sebum, and is a common reason hair looks flat at the root by the afternoon.

Who it suits

  • Oily scalps, especially if you wash daily and it still feels greasy
  • Scalps that feel heavy, coated or itchy between washes
  • Anyone who uses a lot of wax, pomade, dry shampoo or hairspray
  • A reset wash before a colour, perm or scalp treatment

Who should use it sparingly

This is a clarifying wash, not an everyday one. If your scalp runs dry, or you colour your hair often, treat it as a weekly reset and use a gentler shampoo the rest of the week.

How to use

Massage a small amount into damp hair, working it into the scalp rather than the lengths. Let it sit for a minute so it can lift the buildup, then rinse thoroughly. Follow with a conditioner through the mid lengths and ends, keeping it off the scalp.

How often

Two to three times a week for oily scalps. Once a week as a reset for everyone else.

Product details

  • Size: 340g
  • Price: RM158
  • Key ingredients: sea salt minerals, orange peel oil, menthol, Swertia japonica extract
  • Best for: oily scalp, product buildup, deep cleansing

The menthol is why it finishes cool on the scalp. Some people love that and some find it strong, so it is worth knowing before your first wash rather than after.

Do not use it on a scalp that is broken, cut, or still healing. That is the manufacturer’s own instruction, not ours.

Also used in our head spa

This is one of the shampoos we use in head spa treatments at our KL Gateway salon, so the wash you get in the chair is the same one you can take home.
